1.         Vataj:

•           Skin turns from dark to pale yellow.

•           Skin becomes rough and dry.

•           Loss of taste.

•           Joints crack.

•           Constipation.

•           Feeling tired.

2.         Pittaj:

•           Eyes turn yellow.

•           Fever.

•           Feeling very thirsty.

•           Sweating a lot.

•           Trouble digesting food.

•           Burping with a sour taste.

•           Bad breath.

•           Eyes become sensitive to light.

•           Loose stools.

3.         Kaphaj:

•           Swelling.

4.         Sannipataj:

•           A mix of all the symptoms from the other types.

Symptoms of anemia

Cause of Anemia

In your body, a lot of the work to make red blood cells happens in the soft tissue inside your bones, called bone marrow. These red blood cells usually live for about 90 to 120 days before your body gets rid of them. Your kidneys make a hormone called erythropoietin (EPO) that tells your bone marrow to make more red blood cells when needed.

The main job of red blood cells is to carry oxygen around your body. They contain a protein called hemoglobin which makes them red. But some people don’t have enough hemoglobin, and this condition is called anemia.

What Affects Hemoglobin

To make enough red blood cells, your body needs certain vitamins, minerals, and nutrients. Iron, vitamin B12, and folic acid are really important for this. Sometimes, your body doesn’t have enough of these because of:

1.         Changes in the stomach or intestines that affect how well your body absorbs nutrients, like in celiac disease.

2.         Not eating a healthy diet.
